Rincon del Juego is a modern Australian restaurant where the clink of cutlery meets the shuffle of cards. Our kitchen serves generous, seasonal plates in a room designed for conversation, while just beyond the pass sits a dedicated card lounge for face-to-face poker.
Our kitchen is led by a team that believes good food is about timing, texture, and the people around the table. We cook with Australian produce, respect the seasons, and plate dishes that are meant to be passed, tasted, and talked over.
Rincon del Juego is designed so that dinner and cards can share an evening without competing. The dining room is bright and conversational; the card lounge is a few steps away, with felt-topped tables and the quiet focus of a good game.
You can book a table for dinner and then join a poker night, or simply enjoy the atmosphere from your seat. The card lounge is physically separate, so dining is never disturbed by game noise. Poker nights are scheduled, and reservations can be made for both dinner and the lounge. The design language connects the two spaces: warm woods, terracotta accents, and soft lighting.
Explore poker nightsOur dining room is built for lingering. Overhead pendant lights cast a warm glow over timber tables, and the room's terracotta and ivory palette keeps things relaxed. Seating is a mix of intimate two-tops and larger shared tables, so whether you are on a date or with a group, there is a spot that fits.
Acoustic panels keep noise levels comfortable even when the room is full, and the open kitchen adds a sense of theatre without being loud. The room seats around 60 guests, with flexible arrangements for groups.
Our front-of-house team treats every table like a dealer treats a new round: with attention, pace, and a bit of personality. From the moment you are seated, you are looked after without being hovered over. We remember regulars, accommodate dietary needs, and make sure your glass is never empty for long.
"The lamb shoulder was the best I have had in Sydney, and the room felt like a warm hug."
"We came for dinner and stayed for the poker night. It is such a clever combination."
"Service was attentive without being fussy. We will be back."
Reservations are recommended, especially on poker nights. You can call us, email, or use the booking form on our reservations page. We hold tables for 15 minutes past the booking time.
If you are curious about the card lounge, we invite you to explore our poker tables, live poker nights, and the dedicated poker lounge. All games are physical, face-to-face, and strictly for adults aged 18 and over.
